Overview
Pannier is built on a single principle: your data is yours. The app is designed from the ground up to keep everything local on your Mac, with no external communication of any kind.
Data Collection
Pannier collects no data. This includes:
- No personal information
- No usage analytics
- No crash reporting sent to external servers
- No advertising identifiers
- No device identifiers
How Pannier Works
When you press ⌃⌘L, Pannier reads the URL from your system clipboard and stores it locally on your Mac. No URL, page title, or any other data is ever sent to any server.
Storage
Your saved links are stored locally on your Mac using Apple’s standard data persistence APIs. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to anyone other than you.
Links auto-expire based on your configured timeout (default 7 days, configurable down to 12 hours), at which point they are deleted from your Mac.
Third-Party Services
Pannier uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or external APIs. There are no third parties with access to any data.
Children’s Privacy
Pannier does not collect any data from any users, including children. The app is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a future version of Pannier, the updated policy will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
